Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This policy explains what information the Capyfill: Water Tracker app (“Capyfill” or “the app”) handles, where it is kept, and the choices you have. Capyfill is made by [Company legal name] (“we”, “us”).
The short version
- Your drinks, goal and settings stay on your phone. We don’t run a server that receives them, and we can’t see them.
- No account, no ads, no tracking, no analytics. The app never asks for your name or email.
- Purchases go through Apple or Google. RevenueCat checks them for us using a random ID. We never see your payment details.
1. What stays on your phone
To work, the app saves the following in its own private storage on your phone:
- The drinks you log: which drink, how much and when.
- Your daily goal, and the answers you can give to work it out: sex (or that you are pregnant or breastfeeding), weight, activity level and climate. These answers are optional.
- Your settings: units, appearance, whether reminders are on, the drinks on your drink bar and your challenge progress.
- Whether Capyfill Premium is on, so the app knows straight away when it opens.
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. On iPhone, the app shares today’s progress and your drink bar with its own Home Screen widgets and Live Activity, on the same phone only. Reminders are scheduled by your phone itself; no server sends them.
You are in control of this information. You can delete drinks in History, clear today’s drinks in Settings, and deleting the app deletes everything it saved. Your phone’s own backups (iCloud or Google) may include the app’s data, depending on your phone’s settings; those backups are covered by Apple’s or Google’s privacy terms.
Capyfill doesn’t read from or write to Apple Health or Google Health Connect.
2. Purchases
Capyfill Premium is bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment and your payment details under their own privacy policies (Apple, Google). We never receive your card details, name or email from them.
To check purchases and know whether Premium is on, the app uses RevenueCat, a service that processes this information on our behalf. When the app starts, and when you buy or restore, it sends RevenueCat:
- a random ID the app creates for your installation (not linked to your name, email or phone number);
- your Capyfill purchases and the store’s proof of them (the receipt or purchase token);
- your store’s country, language and currency, so prices show correctly;
- basic technical details needed to answer the request, such as the app version, the type of device and operating system, and your IP address.
We use this only to unlock Premium, restore purchases, handle renewals, trials and refunds, prevent fraud, and see overall figures such as how many people bought each plan. It is not used for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.
3. What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
- We don’t show ads, and the app contains no advertising or analytics tools.
- We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- We don’t access your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
4. When you email us
If you write to support@capyfill.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it only to answer you, and keep the conversation as long as it’s needed to help you, then delete it. Please don’t send health details we don’t need.
5. This website
capyfill.com is a set of plain pages. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Like any website, the company that hosts it may briefly keep standard request logs (such as IP address, time and page) to run and protect the service.
6. How long information is kept
- On your phone: until you delete it or the app.
- Purchase records at RevenueCat, Apple and Google: for as long as needed to provide Premium, handle renewals and refunds, and meet legal, tax and accounting duties. You can ask us to delete the records RevenueCat holds for your installation (see below).
- Emails: as long as needed to help you.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the European Union and the United Kingdom, or under California law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or limit how it is used, and to withdraw consent. We don’t sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Because your drinks and settings never leave your phone, you can see, change or delete them yourself in the app at any time. For purchase records, email us at support@capyfill.com. As the app doesn’t know who you are, we may ask for your order or transaction ID (from your App Store or Google Play receipt) to find the right records. We will answer within one month.
You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Where the GDPR applies, we process purchase information because it is needed to provide what you bought (our contract with you) and, for overall figures and fraud prevention, because of our legitimate interest in running the app. RevenueCat may process this information in the United States and other countries, with safeguards required by law.
8. Children
Capyfill is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). The app doesn’t ask anyone for personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling information differently, for example if we add an optional account or a backup service, we will update this policy and the date at the top before the change takes effect, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
